This run is being put together by the Sunrise Side Streakers to help raise funds for the Alpena Plaza Pool in Alpena, MI.  We are all runners in some form or another and thought it would be a great idea to give back to our community.

This is a costume run taking place on November 2, 2019 the Alpena County Fairgrounds.  The run will follow along the bike path surrounds the Thunder Bay River.  There is a 1-mile Run/Walk, a 5-k Run/Walk, and a 10-k(ish) Run (It is 10-k(ish) because it is just a little under 6.2 miles).  There will also be a DUO option, where you can do the 1-mile event and then either do the 5-k or 10-k(ish) event.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the 1-mile Run/Walk starting at 9:30 a.m. with the 5k and 10k(ish) events to start at 10 a.m.  This will all take place rain or shine.  Awards will be given to the top Female and Male finishers for each event.  There will also be a prize for best costume.
